Limited technical assistance is available through the State Justice Institute’s (SJI) Curriculum Adaptation Grant Program. Funding is available to assist state and local courts in adapting a model curriculum (such as the collaboration curriculum, see Project Products), course module, or conference program developed with SJI funds to meet a particular jurisdiction’s educational needs. The grants provide funding to train instructors to present the curriculum, and to evaluate it to determine its appropriateness, quality, and effectiveness. These grants are awarded based on the proposed goals and objectives, need for outside funding, likelihood of integration into existing educational programming, and amount of judicial and court personnel interest. For more information and directions on how to apply for a Curriculum Adaptation Grant, please visit SJI’s Web site at www.sji.gov/grant-curriculum.php.
